The Cattleman's Series

The 3R Sale will be conducted on the historic Goonoo Goonoo Station. Goonoo Goonoo holds a special place in the history of Australian agriculture. First settled in 1832 by the Australian Agricultural Company (AACo), Goonoo Goonoo amassed 316,000 acres. Goonoo Goonoo not only was the central station for much of the development of the North West Slopes and Plains & New England regions but equally the transition of the AACo into beef and staged their expansion north. The AACo tenure of Goonoo Goonoo lasted 153 years until 1985.
During this time Goonoo Goonoo achieved great renown as the selling centre of the AACo's Santa Gertrudis. The stories of the annual production sales are legendary with Breeders from not only across the country but across the globe making their way to Goonoo Goonoo.
In 2011 the Haggarty Family purchased Goonoo Goonoo and set about transforming the station from its tired state to an icon of the industry. The renovation has included a renowned restaurant and accommodation precinct as well as approximately 15,000 of working property.
For 40 years the selling ring has sat idle until now. In 2022 3R has renovated the selling centre and now the time has come to write the next chapter in selling seedstock on Goonoo Goonoo. We invite you to join us to celebrate breathing life back into an Australian icon.To commemorate the occasion and welcome guests to 3R we have planned a dinner on Tuesday 13th September in the Glasshouse Restaurant at Goonoo Goonoo Station. On the night we will launch The 3R Cattleman's Series. The 3R Cattleman's Series will continue in the future and feature topics specifically designed to be of interest to the Commercial Cattle Breeders.

The launch of the series is titled 'The Innovator's'. We are delighted to have three of most recognised personalities in the Australian Beef Industry in Richard Rains, David Bondfield & Angus Street to launch the series under the guidance of Ben Law 'The Financial Bloke'. Each of our guests brings forth a history of 'breaking the mould' and achieving success. At the event we will explore both the thinking behind their past success and their outllook for the next decade in the Beef Industry. This will be equally insightful and entertaining and we encourage you to join us on 13th September at 6:30 pm in the Goonoo Goonoo Glasshouse Restaurant.
